I love people, machinery, America, and the gift of life itself, discovering the enjoyment of capturing moments and posting about these topics when I have the time.
My photography skills are evolving. While much of what I shoot is tied to motorsports and machinery, this site is about people that love, operate, and protect the U.S.A.. My bias towards a motorized topic is simple—I grew up in a family that appreciates the American automobile. I have learned the same type of people also love this wonderful country.
Since I was a kid I have hauled around a camera trying to capture moments of friends, family, and coworkers, each telling a story by itself. While I may jot down thoughts in blog posts, I find that it is much easier to take a photo and let the viewer figure out the story.
My professional roots are in state and federal law enforcement, now operating a small business with my wife, Shay. The path has allowed me to see much of the U.S.A. and abroad, meeting and talking to wonderful people. Each with a particular story of their own.
Lastly, about the website’s unusual name—a mixture of my work in a technology field and love for a lost buddy. Dogs can have a wonderful effect on their owner’s life. Mine was no different and became an exceptional retriever of what he was seeking. I hope you do the same.
